I just got back to Sweden after spending some time in the US – among other things I participated in the awesome Now Know Myself class in Austin, with Wayne Hackett, Muriel Carlton and Carlos Gutterres – the NKM-class is always different, depending who is in it, and who the instructors are, so as always in classes, there will be some aha-moments

Next chance for a NKM-class will be in Münich, Germany 31 oct – 4 nov, with Anita Willoughby and Waltraud Riegger-Krause
And next chance in the US will be in Green Bay, WI, 10-14 april 2019, with Jill Marie Pasquinelli and Cynthia Broshi
And also Boston, MA 6-10 nov 2019, with Wayne Hackett Carlos Gutterres and Sara Harper.

Jin Shin Jyutsu classes with Cynthia Broshi, Oct 2017-Oct 2018

I haven’t yet had the chance to go to a class with Cynthia, but I hope I will be able to spend some time in classes with her, she has a lot of interesting knowledge and experience, as you can see here, in the words from jsjinc.net page:

Jin Shin Jyutsu blogpost from jsjnashville (Sarah W Anderson)

Here’s a blogpost from jsjnashville.com, and some information about Sarah W Anderson – I met her quite recently at a Now Know Myself class in Kentucky:

Why I practice Jin Shin Jyutsu

Sometimes it’s helpful to zoom out and examine why I do something every day.  Why did I start taking Jin Shin Jyutsu classes almost 20 years ago? Why do I continue to practice self-help every day like clockwork? Why do I love giving and receiving sessions so much and taking classes and learning more about this Art?

I think it’s related to my overall path as a spiritual seeker. When I first heard about Jin Shin Jyutsu from my aunt, a Reiki practitioner and seeker, and later took my first JSJ class, it opened up a worldview to me that was previously unknown. It explained how my body, its every detail and nuance, is directly connected to the greater Cosmos and ultimately, to the Divine Source. This relationship became so profound to me and so powerful that it compelled me to learn more and more and to transcend my limited understanding of who I am.

Now that JSJ is so integrated into my daily life and understanding of myself and others, I literally do not know what I would do without it.

Lately, I’ve been waking up between 2 and 4am and practicing JSJ for about an hour in order to get my body-mind back in harmony. I guess I’m moving through some “stuff” right now, but without self-help, I’m not sure how I would relax enough to get through this time.  I could take pills and supplements (and I’m going to try a new supplement tonight, actually!), but to me, the transformative power of energy work exists at a higher frequency than most supplements, so the energy I’m able to move is more significant and powerful than simply relaxing myself and going back to sleep.

Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe I just need to take something to get better sleep and relax….But that approach simply does not resonate with me as much as understanding the underlying Root of the issue (for me, it’s usually related to the 6th Depth being out of balance).

I hope to get over this insomnia issue soon, but if I don’t, I truly have faith that I’m moving through it for a reason.  And that the tool of Jin Shin Jyutsu self-help is a gift I’ve received in order to walk through it with more grace and power than I otherwise would have.  I feel grateful not to feel helpless in the face of stress and anxiety, and I love sharing this gift with anyone who is open to it!

And the information about Sarah:

My journey with Jin Shin Jyutsu began in 1997, when I took a 5-day basic seminar with Lynne Pflueger. Lynne told the class that she is from a “medical family” and was initially skeptical of anything alternative or non-mainstream. It wasn’t until she received JSJ sessions from Mary Burmeister (who brought JSJ to the U.S.) for a knee injury that she began to understand its benefits and devoted her life to the study and practice of the art.

After Lynne’s class, I was hooked. This art, which has many names, including “Physio-philosophy,” seemed to bring two worlds together: the physical world of healing and restoring wellness, and the spiritual world of seeking unity with all things. Mary taught that “The truth is that within each one of us lies the power to cast all misery aside and to KNOW complete Peace and Oneness-to BE that beautiful creation of perfect harmony-to truly KNOW (Help) MYSELF” (Text I, page 1). As a dancer and kinesthetically-oriented person, I found it miraculous that through very light, simple touch on various areas of the body, mental/emotional, physical, and spiritual harmony could be restored.

Since Lynn’s class, I have studied with Matthias Roth, Anita Willoughby, Philomena Dooley, Jed Schwartz, Sara Harper, and Cynthia Broshi. I became a class organizer in 2013. The beauty of Jin Shin Jyutsu is that it is completely “individualized” for each person, since it is innate to all of us. Thus, each instructor or practitioner captures and communicates unique aspects of the Art and shares these insights with students. There is no end to learning and exploration of Jin Shin Jyutsu.

Jin Shin Jyutsu is, for me, a gift that I offer to myself every day. Its benefits are most noticeable when I’m experiencing some kind of “disharmony,” such as anxiety, muscle tension, getting a cold, feeling depressed or angry, or simply needing to find center.

When I experience these states of mind, body, and spirit, I trust, through years of practice and faith, that if I listen to my body, it will tell me exactly what I need to do to restore balance and flow. I describe some of my daily experiences with JSJ in a self-help blog, which articulates how I integrate the practice into daily life. I also published an essay about my journey with JSJ in the Nashville Psychotherapy Institute newsletter.

Sessions

I offer Jin Shin Jyutsu sessions in Nashville and surrounding areas. Sessions can offer support to the receiver in his or her unfolding process. That process may focus on a physical, emotional, or spiritual project during the session. Each person’s being is aware of what is needed.

New Jin Shin Jyutsu classes with Cynthia Broshi 2016

I haven’t had a chance to participate in a class with Cynthia Broshi yet, but reading about the special topic classes with her at the jsjinc.net makes me really want to go, when/if I have a chance. I met her once at the Jin Shin Jyutsu organizers meeting in Paris, she is very nice 🙂
During 2015 there was those classes (and mentoring, and 5 day classes, of course):
“9 Months in the Womb (“Individualizing” of the Universal Blueprint) and Working with Babies, Children & Parents”
“Listen to the song, dance, vision, anatomy, mathematics and magic of the pulses. Recognizing the 9 Depths within and all around me.”
“Now Know Myself”
Notes: The purpose of the Now Know Myself Seminar (NKM) is to further examine the wealth of information in Texts 1 and 2 and offer some new material. This seminar is co-presented by a panel of instructors, whose number will be determined by the number of students enrolled. Participants experience hands-on daily, both as practitioners and receivers. The primary objective is to enrich each individual’s understanding of the why’s and how to’s of this beautiful Art with emphasis on the unique concerns of practitioners. It is an opportunity to develop Jin Shin Jyutsu concepts and practice in a very profound way.
“Hands-On Retreat: The Now Know Myself of Critical Ages (Page 42, Text 2) In this 3-day STC (held Thursday evening – Sunday afternoon) we’ll receive sessions twice daily and give 4 sessions each day (in all, we share 18 hands-on sessions)”
Notes: An autobiographical exploration of how the Critical Ages (given on Page 42 of Text 2) express “me” physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually through the ages of my life. Recognize the gifts and strengths each Age offers, learn what we mean by “Critical Project” and extend our vision of how to work with these projects. In the Hands-on Retreat you receive intensive sessions and develop comfort and skill as a practitioner.

CFRI retreat 2014 with Cynthia Broshi (video)

I haven’t been able to participate in a class with Cynthia Broshi yet, but I met her last year at the Jin Shin Jyutsu organizers meeting in Paris, and got a very nice impression of her, if/when I have a chance I will definitely go to one of her classes! In the meanwhile, here’s a video with her:

Here’s more information about her:
https://www.jsjinc.net/bio.php?id=12

Cynthia Broshi was drawn to Jin Shin Jyutsu for the help it gave her daughter, born with a life-threatening illness. Sceptical yet desperate, her first attempt at “jumpercabling” was full of fear for about three minutes when, tensions melting, she found herself captivated by the mysteries and simplicity of this Art. Her studies with Mary Burmeister began in 1985. Jin Shin Jyutsu has now been her daily practice for 28 years.

From the experience of complementing medical regimens with Jin Shin Jyutsu, Cynthia brings to classes a practicality and a blend of intuition, science and heart. Since 2002 she’s presented 5-Day Seminars and Special Topic Classes worldwide. A visual artist and poet, her colorful drawings and precise language help to convey this Art’s basic principles and clarify its intricacies. Cynthia joins us from her home near Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Jin Shin Jyutsu classes with Cynthia Broshi

I was at the organizers meeting in Paris last June, and met a lot of very nice organizers, and a lot of very nice instructors – one instructor that was there was Cynthia Broshi. So far I haven’t been able to go to any of her classes, but looking in to her special topics makes me interested in trying to fit in one of her classes into my schedule, if I can!
She has a:

Hands-On-Retreat “The 3 Methods of Correction”

“9 Months in the Womb (“Individualizing” of the Universal Blueprint) and Working with Babies, Children & Parents”

“Listen to the song, dance, vision, anatomy, mathematics and magic of the pulses. Recognizing the 9 Depths within and all around me.”

Hands-On Retreat: The Now Know Myself of Critical Ages (Page 42, Text 2) In this 3-day STC (held Thursday evening – Sunday afternoon) we’ll receive sessions twice daily and give 4 sessions each day (in all, we share 18 hands-on sessions).

And here’s the information about her classes:

It feels like I could spend a lot of time going to classes, learning new things, there are so many interesting topics to explore! 🙂

Deborah Beaton’s words about the Jin Shin Jyutsu teachers

I was trying to reblog Deborah’s post, but it didn’t work, so here’s the copy and paste thing…

And I have been writing a lot of the different teachers in my blog, and here’s Deborahs words about the teachers too – I have met most of them, but there are a few that I still haven’t seen yet, so it’s nice to read about Deborah’s experience with them 🙂

I’m thinking…

…about how fortunate, blessed I am.

I just finished my first 5-Day Basic Class with Ian Harris. As an instructor, he has certainly achieved his goal of teaching me to think, study, become aware. He is light-hearted and very funny but I think we need to teach him the “Sopranos” way of saying, “Forget about it” (that New York, Brooklyn, Bronx style of speech that movie mobsters use).

This was my 9th 5-Day Basic Class. Each instructor teaches the very same material, but from their own personal insight, experience and perspective.

Anita Willoughby was my first and seventh instructor. She is, to me, vibration: movement and music.

Philomena Dooley was my second and fifth instructor. She, to me, knows everything and runs a tight ship. She is faithful to everything Mary taught her. No pillows, no talking during hands on…I remember I had been in an accident, falling on concrete and slamming my head on a piece of metal as I fell. Ouchy! I had two herniated cervical discs and was in the middle of conservative therapy and was using a pillow to support my neck on the table. Philomena went from table to table making sure the students were okay with the selected flow and she approached the head of the table where I lay and stood over me. Looking down, she softly said, “have you injured your neck?” I was totally amazed. How could she know? I said, “why, yes, I have fallen and herniated two cervical discs!” She just looked at me and turned to the room and announced we should never use pillows unless there is an injury. Pillows were flying from tables (except mine) as she walked away, saying nothing more. Only after did I realize she intended a sarcastic remark that back-fired! I love Philomena. I’m “just this side of OCD” and keep a strict adherence to exactly what Mary wrote and said…just like Philomena.

I never had the privilege of being in Mary’s physical presence, but she has given me a tiny piece of her heart and I feel her energetic, spiritual presence whenever I give myself self-help or work with a client. She continues to be my inspiration. However, I understand from some of the stories Instructors tell, that Mary’s beautiful, smiling face with relaxed shoulders, full of joy, could be, ahem, abrupt. Don’t you simply love JSJ?

Michael Wenninger, to me, as an instructor, epitomizes Jin Shin Jyutsu in his Being. He exudes peace, serenity, humility and unconditional love.

Wayne Hackett knows everything – plus! He opened my mind to the relationships of JSJ with astrology, astronomy, numerology. At one of the hands-on sessions, he went from table to table listening to pulses of the student then receiving Jin Shin Jyutsu. I was on the table, resting my hands on my 14s and he came up to the table, listened to my pulses, gently spread the fingers of my hands and said “You have 5th Depth issues. How long have your little fingers been crooked?” I replied, “Since I was in utero.” He responded, “The fifth depth issues are generational.”  and moved on to the next table. Well, I stayed up most of the night going over my notes and literature trying to determine what could be done about this project. I found nothing. I needed to create a plan, a flow to end this generational issue! Surely there must be a book! In the morning, Wayne and I happened to be alone in the auditorium just before class and I approached him and gave him this long story as presented here to you, dear readers, and I said to him, “What shall I do?” He slowly took a couple of steps closer to me (he was on stage and I was below, by the seats) and smiled a little smile as he looked down at me and said: “Hold your little fingers” and then he turned back to preparing his presentation! (I told you I was just this side of OCD!) Jin Shin Jyutsu is simple. It is up the back and down the front. It is the smile. It is the dropping of the shoulders. It is the breath. Well, I don’t know…do you think I shall ever learn? Smile.

Sara Harper, who taught me the Living the Art so that I could teach Self-Help, has an unbelievable story of how JSJ saved her very life; yet she is sweet, and childlike and resembles a flower constantly opening and unfurling…just my opinion, you understand.

And then there is Jed Schwartz who is so experienced and New York City but often teaches classes in Woodstock. He is left and right and yin and yang, and up the back and down the front. (NYC-Woodstock)

Oh, yes and Cynthia Broshi and Susan Schwartz (Jed’s sister) – you just feel like you want to gently give them the JSJ hug!(9/26, 2, heart-to heart).

And, AND I have been honored to meet Sadaki Kato and am registered for his class In Morristown, NJ in November, 2014.

I love to:
