My intensive Jin Shin Jyutsu sessions in Scottsdale, Arizona (Jan 2018)

I have been in Scottsdale a couple of times to get JSJ intensive sessions (twice daily, for 5 days) – I can really recommend it, it is such a great way to “pamper” yourself, relax and de-stress…
Here’s the website, if you want to go there: https://www.jsjinc.net
But if you can’t go to Scottsdale for intensive sessions, you can always check out any Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner that is closer to you, it’s possible to work out a schedule with any JSJ practitioner, if you want to try the benefit of getting this kind of sessions.

I been in Scottsdale before in the summer, but then the temperature is so hot that it’s not possible to be outside for any longer period, this time I went in January, so I could check out the surroundings a little bit more.. I didn’t have the time to explore the mountains any closer, but they are really majestic!

Traveling to Scottsdale this time was a little bit difficult, I was caught up in the so called “bomb cyclone” (that is, a winter storm..) – my plan was to fly to Newark, then catch a plane to Phoenix, but the airport was closed, so they re-directed us to Washington DC, where I had to spend the night at a fancy hotel, before going to Phoenix. The hotel had swans in the lobby…Svanar

But I got to Phoenix the next day, here’s the view at sunset at my hotel

And there were geese flying over the hotel every sunset…

It was in the beginning of January, so there were still Christmas decorations around the hotel

And with “natural” decorations

And the mountains were majestic

Sad news about Karen Moore

I got an email with sad news from the JSJ Scottsdale Office – I’ve been in Scottsdale three times to get intensive sessions, and had the great fortune to meet Karen in Scottsdale the first time I was there, and got sessions from her. It was really nice to meet her, she will be greatly missed! Here’s the email:

WE REMEMBER KAREN MOORE, (OCTOBER 1947-NOVEMBER 2017)

Karen was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and lived there until she graduated from high school. She received a Ford Foundation scholarship to study ballet and later attended college at NYU School of the Arts in New York City. After 12 years in New York, she moved to San Francisco where she took her first Jin Shin Jyutsu class with Mary Burmeister in 1987. Karen had been working at the Scottsdale Office since May of 1993. As well as being on staff as a practitioner, she was editor of The Main Central newsletter, oversaw the production of the annual class brochure.  Karen loved being part of the Jin Shin Jyutsu family and only recently retired.
We remember her as an efficient and tireless colleague, who was a highly regarded JSJ practitioner. For some years she continued her love of dancing (often displaying her flamenco skills), and enjoyed caring for her dogs.  We thank her for all she gave to the Jin Shin Jyutsu Organization through 24 years.  She is greatly missed and we offer our sympathy to her family, friends and coworkers.
In Love and remembrance,
David, Michael and Martha, Jody, Terry, Josh, Rachel, Ian, Marty, and Zoe the doggie
