Jin Shin Jyutsu classes with Ian Harris, Oct 2017 – Oct 2018

I have taken a 5 day class with Ian, in Sweden a couple of years ago, and I have also been getting JSJ sessions from him at the JSJ office in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he works when he’s not out traveling, giving classes – I can really recommend both his classes and his JSJ sessions! Here are some words about him from the jsjinc.net website

https://www.jsjinc.net/bio.php?id=20

Ian Harris spent his early years playing and studying music and riding his bicycle for fun and work, and studying Tai Chi, Meditation, eastern philosophy and yoga – in pursuit of a deeper awareness of himself and the universe. In 1982 he was introduced to Jin Shin Jyutsu to receive sessions and soon thereafter attended his first seminar with Mary Burmeister.

He found in Jin Shin Jyutsu the common thread which tied all these other interests together and helped shed light on the many puzzles of life. For more than 30 years he has been practicing this art and since 2000 has been teaching the Basic 5 day Seminar.

Originally attracted by the simplicity of JSJ and by Mary’s joy and straightforward manner in her teaching, Ian aims to bring these qualities to his seminars. And so in class we can all relax and enjoy the unfolding of this Art.

Sadaki Kato’s Jin Shin Jyutsu class in Asheville, NC, September 2015

I really recommend this 5 day class with Sadaki Kato, I was in his class in Los Angeles last March, and I wish I had time to go to this too, but I can’t.. so don’t miss this chance, Sadaki Kato doesn’t give many classes, next time it will be in Germany, and since he teaches in Japanese the translation will be in German – so if you know German this is an excellent opportunity 🙂 I will post more about the class in Germany when I have the details! (Preliminary dates 28 Oct – 1 nov, in Bonn)

And these are the words from Beth Molaro about the class:

This class teaches the philosophy, psychology, physiology of the art, as well as how to use the art. In attending lectures, one’s awareness and understanding are awakened, simply being the channel through which flow infinite aesthetic powers of the Creator.JIN SHIN JYUTSU PHYSIO-PHILOSOPHY is an ancient way to health and harmony. One hundred years ago, the art was rediscovered and retrieved from obscurity by Jiro Murai in Japan. Diagnosed with a terminal illness, he used finger mudras with the breath, and recovered from his illness. He then spent the rest of his life studying and teaching. During the 1940’s he met Mary Burmeister who was in Japan teaching English. She studied with him for 7 years before returning to the United States. Mary began sharing her knowledge in the early 1960’s. Utilizing the art of laying on of hands in prescribed sequences, we are able to help others and ourselves restore harmony physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

While her family and clients are based in New York City, Anita’s ability to quickly create a relaxed learning environment in any cultural context makes her a highly sought-out teacher around the globe. Her wisdom regarding the trinity of body, mind, and spirit arises out of a lifetime of experiential, professional, and spiritual learning. Her experiences as a dancer, mother, and healer, as well as her study of the Kabbalah, provide her with a rich garden of knowledge from which she spontaneously plucks insights when adapting to the particular needs of a group of students.Compassionate, yet frank, Anita uses her exuberant physicality and sense of humor to teach students the practical application of JSJ in daily life.   Anita instills students with an expansive perspective on JSJ, presenting it not as magic bullet for fixing what’s ‘wrong’, but as an adaptive, fluid way to approach and engage the trinity of body, mind, and spirit, throughout our ever-changing lives.

Jin Shin Jyutsu classes with Sadaki Kato and Anita Willoughby in Asheville, NC

I just came back from Sadaki Kato’s class in Los Angeles (a week ago), filled with so much new information, and am very interested into taking new classes, it is so fun to travel, to meet lovely new friends, to see new places in a somewhat different way than as an usual tourist – to travel like this is really nice 🙂

I wont have time to go to these classes in Asheville, NC, but coming from Sadaki Kato’s class in Los Angeles, I really want to promote his class in September – if you have a chance to go, do it 🙂

And they will also have a 5 day class in May with Anita Willoughby, I took a class with her some years ago in Germany, and had also the nice opportunity to get a treatment session from her in her lovely home in New York City, so I can recommend her as well 🙂

You can find the information about the classes here:
